My wife actually started this one off and set it aside. I took up the challenge and brought it to a finish adjusting the composition and adding detail and additional color.
It was good fun to collaborate with my wife on a sketch.
Well, today is being spent matting artwork and doing some contract work.
I’ve been carefully custom-matting my artwork to fit into standard frames. I figure this will make the job of getting frames for my work an easy task both for me and for collectors. Custom matting and framing is hideously expensive. I am glad to be able to oversee this particular detail and to be sure that it is getting done right.
I am bevel cutting double mats and using archival materials all the way.
We’ll see, if presenting the work in this way will improve its curbside appeal. :)
I’d best get back to it. GenCon is just a week away!
