See you in the new year!
A new day—a new daily warm-up.
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas holiday.I had to work a bit of it, but I enjoy being in the studio.
I’m finally getting caught up on work left behind by recent events. I’m setting to work on a cover assignment this week. I can’t wait to get started!
I’m giving thought to new year resolutions as I work. I have lots of goals playing at my mind for 2010 and I am considering ways to realize them in the new year.
Perhaps I’ll share a few of them shortly in the pages of this blog. :)
In the meantime, I have a deadline to meet!
I will not be making a post tomorrow though I will be working in the studio Ebenezer style before going to see family.
Today’s warm-up is a card from me to you. :)
I wish the fine folks who visit my blog a very merry holiday season!
I hope you are all buried in Christmas loot!
See you in a few days!
Behold the space worm..dude…thing!
Shades of that Spacesuit wearing worm video game character I think. Anyone remember him?
This might be his evil twin?
I completed a half-page assignment yesterday night and am now scrambling on the last of a batch of illustrations that had to be delayed due to my recent back troubles.
I’m excited about the new work I’ve been doing and have been learning some interesting things from it. I look forward to sharing it here in the blog once it has been released by the publisher.
Anyhow— Onwards to another fine long day in the studio. So much to do!
Time to hustle!
Everyone one thought Herbert was just old-fashioned in his dislike for texting. It turns out he just hated little keyboards….
Onwards to the day’s efforts. I am muscling through my contract work at the moment and have much to do, but I am enjoying the results so far and I am very nearly free of back pain. Yay!
Back to work!
Well, I woke up this morning with a fresh kink in my neck… on the opposite side from my initial injury! Aaargh!
Nature has quite a sense of humor.
Still, it’s not quite as bad as the first problem I had. I can still work and am hard at it.
I am really enjoying the latest project on my drawing board. It is teaching me things I can apply to another project I’ve been chipping away at.
I have re-discovered how much fun watercolors are . :D
A weekend of hard work awaits and I have much to get done before the holidays.
Time to put my head down and get to it. :)
Mighty cold outside today. I can hear the wind rattling the windows of my back porch studio yet I remain warm enough. :)
I am at work on some half-page illustrations and am so far pleased with the pencil stage.
Can’t wait to get painting! I’m breaking out the watercolors today just as soon as the drawing is complete.
I have a photo shoot to attend this evening as we at the New Hampshire Creative Club prepare materials for the Annual Show. That’ll be fun. We’re re-creating a classic photograph, but with a modern twist that we think the members will really enjoy.
It turns out that we didn’t have to meet to record a session for the Ninja Mountain Podcast as several of our members have already prepared a terrific panel discussion for release this week.
I look forward to hearing it as a member of the audience this time. :)
Well, back to the toil.
See you tomorrow!
Today was just a mermaid kinda’ day I guess.
Makes me want to ditch the studio and go fishin’. ;)
We’ll be recording episode 45 of the Ninja Mountain Podcast today.
It should be great fun as always.
Tonight I bring my sketch group back together for drawing and coffee which I am really looking forward to. I’ll probably bring my current assignments with me and work on those as I sit with friends.
If you are not part of a sketch group, create one! Get a few like-minded friends together and pick a date to dirty up a few sketchbook pages. You’ll love it!
I just found myself gravitating toward a big slobbery green monster today.
My wife thinks he’s adorable…but I think he’s about to eat that friggin’ little bird!
Bwahahahaha!!
Ahem.
Another Monday is upon us. I don’t know why Garfield hates this day so much.
For me it is another good reason to be in the studio!
Today a dinosaur with a brain in a jar attached to its noggin.
Tomorrow…who knows? :)
Onwards to the day’s art tasks.
